Trending: Black Bathroom Taps Are Back!
Average Reading Time: 5 Minutes
When it comes to taps, choice of colour is generally limited to chrome, which isn’t ideal when you’re looking for something a little outside of the norm! We’ve got a gorgeous range of new black taps that we are just dying to share with you. Are you ready to meet Valetta, Austin and Cube?
So, What’s So Great About Black Bathroom Taps?
If you’ve spent any time at all scrolling through bathroom (or even kitchen!) design on Instagram or Pinterest, you’ll have definitely come across the power couple of all things monochrome – black taps in white bathrooms.
Black taps are hot property when it comes to accessorising your bathroom as they contrast beautifully with the white nature of bathroom essentials. Sure, there are plenty of other colour options that you can incorporate into your bathroom, but adding black accessories is a cost effective way of embracing a trend. Think about it - a few matte black accessories and, voila! You’ve given your white bathroom suite a new lease of life without sacrificing the health of your bank balance.
It doesn’t stop there either – you may hear the phrase ‘black bathroom tap’ and think of one style but we have more options available than you may think. Black taps aren’t even limited to the bathroom either. Black kitchen taps are just as popular and have the same trend inspired, gorgeous result in your kitchen.
We show you how to style four different taps in some of the hottest trends this season…
Black Bathroom Taps and Navy and Gold Trend
If we say so ourselves, Valletta is a true beauty! As well as having all the design points of a matte black finish, the accents of gold on the base and high rise lever add an element of sophistication and, dare we say it, glamour to a black bathroom tap. Not only do we have a black basin tap, but we’ve crafted our very own wall mounted option so that you can continue the trend throughout your bathroom. You’re welcome!
We’ve paired Valletta with the gorgeous design characteristics of the ever popular Navy and Gold colour combo. Our favourite thing about the Navy trend is that it teaches us to embrace dark palettes. Navy makes it possible to be dramatic and brave without instantly regretting it! As a versatile colour, you can use Navy in both big bathrooms and bathrooms that are on the smaller side.
We’ve also used the official material of Instagram – marble! By incorporating marble into our colourway for Valletta, we’ve added texture that doesn’t distract from the deep tones, but instead enhances it. Plus, marble is still appearing all over our feeds so why not?

Black Bathroom Taps and Monochrome Trend
Black and white never goes out of fashion. Monochrome works hand in hand with black taps as you can contrast them with a white bathroom suite without even giving it much thought – yet the results are more than impressive.
Not only have we focused on monochrome to complement our Cube taps, but we’ve fused an eclectic mix of tiles to capture the geometric trend that is taking over all things bathroom design right now! Once again, greenery makes an appearance as we just love the pairing of industrial and botanical. In terms of design, the images say it all! The angular lines and cubed edges makes these a statement away from the usual bathroom tap which is further reinforced by the matte, black finish.

Black Bathroom Taps & Industrial Trend
The Austin matte black, powder coated taps are reminiscent of Industrial street style and will add a stylish edge to your bathroom. Plus, they look stunning and are unlike what you would see in a standard bathroom.
The matte black finish takes inspiration from elements of the industrial, offering an original, bold colourway that exudes urban cool. The shape of the crosshead tap is what makes it industrial – or to be more specific, what makes it the industrial side of traditional style. Our Austin is a dominant shape which is great if you want to make a statement too.

Black Bathroom Taps and Contemporary Scandi Trend
Now as for our Austin taps, we couldn’t quite restrict them to one room set so we’ve created what we like to call ‘one look, two ways.’ Both incorporate the overall monochrome trend but have been styled out differently.
We’ve then paired it alongside light woods and lots of greenery and natural blown glass. This is a light and airy alternative in comparison to the matte black nature of the taps. We also think it looks gorgeous alongside the Iker Black Metal Towel Ladder. Austin really flourishes in a natural and tactile design environment which you can see where we’ve experimented with geometrics and hexagon tiles – the choice really is up to you. See how versatile black bathroom taps can be?
